This one-of-a-kind creation is definitely a masterpiece to display with pride.  The base is a large root-carved bowl made from natural fir roots.  (The bowl was not made by the artist but was purchased for its unique design). It has natural cracks, gaps & knots which add to the beauty of this piece.
The top of this piece is made from over a pound of natural longleaf pine needles, coiled around the bowl and stitched with artificial sinew. The pine needle section of this basket follows the curvature of the base and will catch your eye from across the room. It boasts not only beauty but usefulness. It could serve as a large fruit bowl or be filled with pine cones. The possibilities are endless! 
This basket is 17” long, 15” wide and 7 3/4” high.
