This beauty was carved from a large basketball gourd.  After woodburning and painting the leaves, the top row of leaves was carved off of the gourd and attached to the bottom of the bowl as a base.  The inside of the bowl is painted in oil rubbed bronze to offset the colors of the leaves.  Basketball gourds come in many sizes (truly shaped like a basketball) so a duplicate of this beautiful bowl can be ordered in small, medium or large.
