I feature a unique art style made from gourds, longleaf pine needles, antlers, feathers, and other natural items. In addition to custom gourds, I also make beautiful, handmade pine needle baskets, many of which are combined with gourds. My husband, Mark, who had retired from wood working, is hand-turning beautiful wood and resin items, many showcasing beautiful burls. This extra large "canteen" gourd has been divided into four sections, each carved differently from the rest. It features a feather, a lizard and a kokopelli among the carving. In the center is a metallic bee on teneriffe weaving. A shed deer antler forms the base for this display. It's 9" wide, 10 1/2" tall and 31" in circumference, not counting the antler.
