I feature a unique art style made from gourds, longleaf pine needles, antlers, feathers, and other natural items. In addition to custom gourds, I also make beautiful, handmade pine needle baskets. As of January 2024, my husband, who had retired from wood working, is hand-turning beautiful wood platters and bowls. This large cedar basket was hand-turned from red cedar harvested from the artist's property in the Missouri Ozarks. It's coiled with longleaf pine needles, dyed by the artist to match the cedar. Iridescent blue beads have been attached to the pine needles with artificial sinew. This is a stunning piece! It's 3.25" tall, 9.5" in diameter, and 30" in circumference.
