I feature a unique art style made from gourds, longleaf pine needles, antlers, feathers, and other natural items. In addition to custom gourds, I also make beautiful, handmade pine needle baskets. As of January 2024, my husband, who had retired from wood working, is hand-turning beautiful wood platters and bowls. What a spectacular piece! This handmade, coiled pine needle basket was made with longleaf pine needles, dyed purple by the artist. The center is made of wood sunflowers, attached with pine needles and artificial sinew. Small beads have been added to the center of the basket and large ones are coiled into the design along the side. It's 4.75" tall, 7.5" in diameter and 29" in circumference.
