I feature a unique art style made from gourds, longleaf pine needles, antlers, feathers, and other natural items. In addition to custom gourds, I also make beautiful, handmade pine needle baskets. As of January 2024, my husband, who had retired from wood working, is hand-turning beautiful wood platters and bowls. I add pine needle coiling to most of his work and it makes a stunning combination! Have a look at my gallery and contact me with any questions or special requests.
The center of this basket is a wooden disc depicting the moon and rolling hills. Longleaf pine needles, dyed green by the artist, have been coiled into a basket using artificial sinew and beads. It's 3.75" tall, 6.5" in diameter and 23" in circumference.
