I feature a unique art style made from gourds, longleaf pine needles, antlers, feathers, and other natural items. In addition to custom gourds, I also make beautiful, handmade pine needle baskets, many of which are combined with gourds. My husband, Mark, who had retired from wood working, is hand-turning beautiful wood and resin items, many showcasing beautiful burls. This exquisite vessel is made from an oak burl harvested from the artist’s property in the Missouri Ozarks. It’s encased in resin accented with orange mica powder and hand-turned on a lathe. It’s 5” across the top, 6” across the bottom and 22” in circumference. This is a one-of-a-kind piece that can’t be replicated.
