I feature a unique art style made from gourds, longleaf pine needles, antlers, feathers, and other natural items. In addition to custom gourds, I also make beautiful, handmade pine needle baskets, many of which are combined with gourds. My husband, Mark, who had retired from wood working, is hand-turning beautiful wood and resin items, many showcasing beautiful burls. What a striking basket this is to display! The center is a round leather patch with a "silver" and "turquoise" eagle attached to the leather. The basket itself is constructed of South Carolina longleaf pine needles, dyed dark blue by the artist. Beautiful blue artificial sinew is used to coil the basket together. A strong and solid piece to display or use for storage. 2 7/8" tall, 9 1/2" wide and 30" in circumference.
