I feature a unique art style made from gourds, longleaf pine needles, antlers, feathers, and other natural items. In addition to custom gourds, I also make beautiful, handmade pine needle baskets, many of which are combined with gourds. My husband, Mark, who had retired from wood working, is hand-turning beautiful wood and resin items, many showcasing beautiful burls. This beautiful basket is handmade from longleaf pine needles, dyed green by the artist. The needles are coiled using white artificial sinew and the custom center of the basket is wood, with a handrawn and painted dragonfly. A dainty black dragonfly hangs from the outside rim of the basket. Perfect for display or storage, it's 8 1/2" in diameter, 3 1/4" tall and 24" in circumference.
