I feature a unique art style made from gourds, longleaf pine needles, antlers, feathers, and other natural items. In addition to custom gourds, I also make beautiful, handmade pine needle baskets, many of which are combined with gourds. My husband, Mark, who had retired from wood working, is hand-turning beautiful wood and resin items, many showcasing beautiful burls. A leather center with a beautiful metallic bee make up the center of this exquisite longleaf pine needle basket. 35 hours went into the coiling of this intricate design, complete with numerous wrapped and woven strands of needles around the edges. This is a beautiful yet sturdy basket and could serve many uses, whether decorative or otherwise. It's 10" across, 3" tall and 32" in circumference.
