I feature a unique art style made from gourds, longleaf pine needles, antlers, feathers, and other natural items. In addition to custom gourds, I also make beautiful, handmade pine needle baskets, many of which are combined with gourds. My husband, Mark, who had retired from wood working, is hand-turning beautiful wood and resin items, many showcasing beautiful burls. This beautiful apple gourd has been painted to duplicate a ripe, red apple. It boasts a green leaf and a butterfly on the top, both drilled into the gourd and glued for longevity. A round hole has been carved into the side of the apple, filled with moss and a small bluebird. A wonderful teacher gift or display piece. 5 1/2" tall (8" to the top of the leaf), 5 1/2" wide and 18" in circumference.
